I dunno man, I feel like the color scheme is very conservative in respect to reality for such an exotic design. maybe thats not what you're going for, but i feel like you could push the colors a little more, you know?
Yeah, I see what you're sayin. I did stay pretty traditional. My only concern is making the creature too extravagant. I could change the fur color and mess with the plate patterns, but I want to keep that balance of myth and reality. I also think something too wild would be counterintuitive for dat camouflage. Perhaps, if I have the time, I'll experiment with some other variations.
You know you're right too, I guess I tend to just reject reality all together when I think for some reason, but maybe a more exotic camo scheme could inspire an interesting environment? But that's if you want that I guess, oh well I'll stop saying stuff, do what you want kev!
No, the discussion is great! I actually think I may mess with the coloration now. You've got me thinking of how I can set this guy apart. (gotta work on the enviro for now, though)
You're right! Yeah it might be cool to show some color iterations, I want to try that with mine. And definitely, its always good to be unique. I guess the hard part is going to be finding that happy medium. So does that mean the best designs are the perfect blend of uniqueness and familiarity? hmm. I feel like there's alot more to it, but I like thinking about this kind of stuff.
Same! The great Feng Zhu once said that the best designs come from things we already know and are familiar with. That way, what we create will resonate with audiences yet still seem unique. He just uploaded another video too.
Are you going to?
ReplyDeleteNah, this does't fit in. I'll stick with the non-space version.
