Art Center Entertainment Design Portfolio Fall 2014

Ive been waiting forever to write that title. Anyways, Holy Guacamole I can't believe it's over and finished, though I think I'll probably check for spelling errors five more times, I always miss stuff like that.

I feel like this calls for some epic statement of truth about life that I learned along the way. Let's see what I got....Hmmm...I don't know, but I think it is time to get to know my friends and family again, I owe them at least that. I walked out to my car in the morning the other day to get something and found out I had forgotten what being outside feels like. I think I'll go for a walk tomorrow, maybe ponder all of this some more.

I want to say thanks to the both of you, I just realized this is the first time since the blog started that we dont have an insane deadline to post about, it will be fun to just be mellow. I seriously couldn't have done it without the blog though, lets keep this going forever, or at least until we get the Cheetos. I've been cooking up another couple projects so maybe Ill get some of that out soon...

For the title page I put the Wizard over my name because that story is about me. Well all of my stories are about me somehow but this one is very relevant. Oh! and I draw a helicopter at the advice of one of the admissions guys, he said more hardware was good so I added it this morning. I cant wait to see how yours turned out KevKruse. Fingers crossed!

Rock Hopper

Did this thang last night. That's it for the drawing...

Finishing Things Up

Holy moley I cant believe there's only four days left. But anyways this is what I've been adding color to. I'm not entirely satisfied with the second environment in Orion so ill keep working on that and I haven't finished the layout stuff for The Serious Wizard. And it's bed time, goodnight.

Holy shit. Trevor. Kevin. I love you guys.

the amount and quality of work both of you have produced is staggering. I see all the hard work, all the hours and you don't know how impressed I am. The maturity of the stories and worlds you guys have crafted is astounding. I'm sorry I wasn't a part of it. I went home for the winter tried to complete a story. I didn't. I suck.

I thought about stuff a lot. Even though I love illustration and concept art I realize I want to learn so many other things in so many disciplines. I want to try everything for myself. I am putting the illustration part of my life on hold right now.

Trevor, I told you that I was applying for Fall, but that's changed a bit. If I do go to Art center I want to go after I finish up at Cornell. When I'm a bit more mature, when I'm more disciplined.

I'm going to get around to commenting on every post, and contribute as much as I can to the blog between school and two jobs this semester.

I'm really happy this blog exists. Thank you guys for all of this.

i liek cars

So I'm whipping up the last bit of drawing in this project and I'm eager to see which of these thumbnails you like most or catch your eye. I'm definitely leaning towards the last four, but I can always mix and match parts from each. The vehicle, known as the "rock hopper" is an all terrain, long distance expedition vehicle that is meant to support a team of two or a single person.
