twothousandfifteen

Hey guys,

I hope everyone is happy and thriving :)

It's been a while since I've posted, so I scraped some stuff together. Since the year has begun, I've been in a color theory class, as well as life drawing class: both offered at my community college, and both very helpful. I also applied for a summer, student internship at Blizzard for the role of concept artist.

It would be killer to work with their art department on Overwatch. So to appeal to that niche, I came up with a little idea for a series of characters that would be reminiscent of Overwatch's visual style. Below are two characters which fit into a team of misfits accidentally assembled from the reaches of past and future in place of history's most elite warriors and tacticians. Both characters still need a final digital paint-over. So far, there's the maniacal and sporadic great-granddaughter of Sun Tzu; She is an outcast of her family's dynasty and is banished for suspected witchcraft. Nothing is more beautiful to her than an open flame and black powder. Skulking behind her is a robot yanked from the future. The machine was designed to kill, but thanks to his self-defeating and overly-complicated AI, the robot suffers a massive identity crisis, often clinging to pop-culture images in an effort to fit in.  He is a small-arms specialist and amateur DJ. This may or may not turn into a character showcase for an Art Center portfolio.

The rest are doodles and other stuff from class. Hope to hear from you guys soon!
